Our favorite Harrisburg area diner is this place. It's family run and has chilaquiles on the menu? What more can you ask for? Food: 5/5 their menu is diverse and well executed for what it is. If you want basic diner food? They got you. Feeling frisky and flavorful? Go for the breadth of Mexican food for breakfast and lunch. Need a basic tuna salad sandwich diner lunch? They also do that. Surprisingly well and reasonably priced? Obviously here for the chilaquiles but some times you just want eggs and bacon too. For some reason they do tator tots well. Why? I don't know but they're perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Breakfast is all day so we love that. Service 4/5: can be hit or miss depending on how busy, who you get and where you sit. Eye contact will usually get you what you need. Ambiance: I can't rate - it's a diner for goodness sakes. Think loud and very open. If you're in the back, it might be hard to get someone consistently but they do host large parties and are ADA accessible. Sometimes on Sundays you can hit the church and family crowd with children running everywhere. It's a family establishment so if you need a bit more quiet or privacy sit towards the walls or the walls towards the back. Parking can get crowded

Food is delicious, great service too!!! My 6 meat omelette is now lunch too and my wife has the eggs Benedict and they were delicious. Wish this place was closer to home!!!

The food and the service is amazing! Best place for Breakfest, lunch, and drinks! Chili is Best i every tasted! For Breakfest Huevos rancheros!! So yummy! They get 10 stars from me! The outside deck, Awsome! Beautilful job at upgrading this place!

Stumbled upon this place after hanging out on City Island. The Huevos Rancheros were phenomenal--perfect sunny side up egg, crispy tortilla, spicy and acidic salsas. Simply the the best I've had. While I cannot speak to the other breakfast items (the menu is mainly American-diner fare except there's a page dedicated to more Mexican-influenced dishes), I cannot recommend this place enough simply for the Huevos rancheros. The restaurant was casual, inexpensive, and servers were attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Haven't paid much attention to this local spot ... but the parking lot is always full. The menu is both a huge diner menu ... PLUS a huge Mexican menu ... so we checked it out for lunch one day. I got my goto at diners ... corned beef hash. Theirs comes with scrapple too, but I subbed for ham. Huge portions of flavorful goodness. Enjoyed every bite. We will be back! The service was super friendly and so speedy! It was a Friday lunch and was pretty much empty ... but it's a HUGE restaurant .. so even if the parking lot is full, there's probably a seat for you.

On today's visit to Harrisburg PA, we stopped into the Yankee Doodle Family Restaurant for a quick bite to eat. Very friendly staff, good and tasty food, glad we chose Yankee Doodle and would definitely return!

My go-to spot for Mexican or diner food. The food is always great, and the portions are fantastic for the prices. The waitresses are very sweet and work so hard.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I had the Cobb salad and would go back just for that. My husband had the Mexican salad and wasn't as much of a fan. They have a few selections for beer; I had lagunitas. It would be nice to return in the summer and sit on their porch.

second time here with coworkers this place has some big portions and great food! Burrito #3 $10.99 Chorizo, Black Beans, Cheese, Rice, Onion, Jalapeno & Eggs wrapped in flour tortilla. Served with Home Fries or Mexican Rice
